Elena Nefedova was born in Moscow on 21 November 1990. In 2009 she successfully graduated the Central Music School in the class of Kira Shashkina. She studied for severalyears with Vera Gornostaeva in the Moscow State Tchaikovsky Conservatory. In 2011 Elena moved to Italy where she received her Bachelor’s Degree from the “Santa Cecilia” Conservatory. Contemporary she could regularly follow Piano Courses of Bulgarian pianistIvan Donchev.
Elena has received a scholarship of New Names Foundation (from 2003 to 2008) and Rostropovich Foundation (from 2005 to 2008). In 2008 she has also been awarded with a Grant of the Russian Federation President program for supporting young talented people.
Elena is a winner of several international competitions: Skrjabin Piano competition (Paris, 2007), “Vera Lotar-Shevchenko" (Novisibirsk 2010), "Magic" in Burgas (Bulgaria, 2011), "Aldo Ciccolini international competition" (Rome, 2011), "City of San Gemini" (2011), Andrea Baldi International Competition (Bologna, 2015).She also became a prize winner of Raсhmaninov Piano Competition in Darmstadt(Germany), New Names Competition (in duo with violinist Yuri Revich), "Guido Alberto Fano", "S. Thalberg", "City of Osimo", “Rome Academy Award”.
She was invited to perform in France, Germany, Italy, Greece, South Africa.Elena has performed as a soloist with Russian National Orchestra, The Moscow ChamberOrchestra «Musica Viva», Novosibirsk Philharmonic Orchestra, Florence Chamber Orchestra, “Virtuosi Italiani” Chamber Orchestra.
In October 2016 she won “Premio Venezia”- National Piano Competition organized by Teatro “La Fenice” in Venice. This result has contributed in an important way to the development of Elena’s career and gave her series of important concert engagements in Europe.
Elena was honored to be selected by Sir András Schiff for his concert series, Building Bridges, a platform to support and promote young pianists. Recent concerts have included recitals in Berlin (Konzerthaus), Brussels (BOZAR), Gstaad (Menuhin Festival) amongst others.
