Gordon Fantini began playing the bassoon at the age of 14 and continued on to study with a selection of renowned professors such as Sergio Azzolini, Carlo Colombo, Gilbert Audin, Gabriele Screpis, and Albrecht Holder.
Gordon has performed with many orchestras in Switzerland such as Verbier Chamber Festival Orchestra, Berner Symphony Orchestra, Orchestre de Chambre de Lausanne, Orchestre de la Suisse Romande and KammerOrchester Basel, as well as Teatro alla Scala (Milan), Filarmonica Arturo Toscanini (Parma), Haydn Orchestra (Bolzano), and the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra (London).
As a soloist, he has performed Vivaldi’s “La Notte”, Mozart’s Sinfonia Concertante and many performances of Mozart’s Bassoon Concerto with the Ensemble “Accademia dell’Annunciata” of Abbiategrasso. In July 2021 he wins the 1st prize in his category of the World Music Competition (Wien).
