Laurence Guillod

Italian-Swiss soprano Laurence Guillod performs regularly on the international opera and concert stage. Her career has recently brought her to the Teatro Massimo Bellini in Catania, Concertgebouw in Amsterdam, Opéra de Toulon, as well as in Switzerland at the Theater Basel and Opéra de Lausanne.She obtained a soloist master's degree at the Haute Ecole de Musique de Lausanne. She has received several awards including a scholarship from the Colette Mosetti Foundation and a study prize from the Pour-cent culturel Migros, as well as winning the Claudio Abbado prize in 2014.

In recent seasons, Laurence has performed at the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam with the Dutch Radio Philharmonic Orchestra and Choir with conductor James Gaffigan, with the Orchester National de Lyon and conductor Ben Glasberg, as well as with the orchestra Cameristi della Scala under the direction of Wilson Hermanto. Laurence has worked with other notable conductors such as John Nelson, James Gaffigan, Andrea Marcon, Antonio Pirolli, Axel Kober, Facundo Agudin, Wilson Hermanto, Cyril Diederich, Gabriel Feltz etc. Among the great roles Laurence champions are Donna Elvira (Don Giovanni, Mozart), Ilia (Idomeneo, Mozart), Adina (L'Elisir d'amore, Donizetti), Violetta Valéry (La Traviata, Verdi), Juliette (Romeo and Juliette, Gounod), Liù (Turandot, Puccini) and recently the Puccinian roles of Tosca and Mimì.
