Born in Paris into a family of musicians, Raphaëlle Moreau began learning the violin at the age of four. At fourteen, she unanimously entered the National Conservatory of Music and Dance in Paris in the class of Roland Daugareil, and
at the same time, followed the teachings of Pavel Vernikov at the Scuola di Musica di Fiesole in Italy, then at the Haute École de Musique de Lausanne. In 2018, she obtained a Master Soloist with the highest distinction in the class of Renaud Capuçon in Switzerland while following a Diploma of Performing Artist course at the Paris Conservatory.
She has participated in many academies and master classes including the Seiji Ozawa International Academy, the Ravina Steans Music Institute, the Kronberg Academy, the Musical Academy of Villecroze, the Ensembles in Residence of the Roque d'Anthéron Festival and benefits from the advice artists such as Mihaela Martin, Miriam Fried, Kim Kashkashian, Salvatore Accardo, Boris Kushnir, Claire Désert, Trio Wanderer, Boris Garlitsky, Nobuko Imai and Pamela Franck.
Raphaëlle has performed as a soloist with the Georgian Chamber Orchestra, Orchester de Saint-Maurice, Philharmonique du Coge, Orchester Ostinato, Orchester de Chambre de Lausanne, and the Lithuanian Chamber Orchestra. In recital, she has graced the stage at the Banque de France, Maison de la Radio live on France Musique as part of Gaëlle Le Gallic's “Young Interpreters” program and at the Montpellier Festival. Raphaëlle also has an immense interest in chamber music and has been invited to the Festivals du Périgord Noir, the International Festival of Colmar, the Festival Musical de Stavelot, the Rencontres Musicales d'Evian, the Easter Festival of Aix-en-Provence , in the Lugano Musica season, at the Rheigau Musik Festival and shares the stage with artists such as Nicholas Angelich, Renaud Capuçon, David Kadouch, Alexandra Conunova, Mathieu Herzog, and Adrien La Marca. She made her debut in a trio at the Philharmonie de Cologne, at the Konzerthaus in Dortmund as well as in recital at the Sommets Musicaux de Gstaad. Raphaëlle has the honor of creating "Indra", a piece for violin and piano by the young composer Camille Pepin, to which she is dedicated with the pianist Célia Oneto-Bensaid.
She recorded Shostakovich's quintet with Olivier Charlier, Lise Berthaud, Ophélie Gaillard and Claire Désert for the CIC's “Coffret Collection”. Passionate about the symphonic repertoire, Raphaëlle is regularly called upon as solo violin (Orchestre du Capitole de Toulouse, Orchester de Bretagne...) and has been first solo violin of the Gustav Mahler Jugendorchester since 2018. In 2019, she participated in the creation of Philippe Hersant's double concerto with the Orchester de Pau Pays de Béarn and joined the Lausanne Soloists where she played Bach's double concerto with Renaud Capuçon at the Grand Théâtre de Provence and at the Grange au Lac, Evian.
Raphaëlle Moreau is a 2016 laureate of the Rheingold and the Nicati-de Luze Foundation as well as the Banque Populaire Foundation since 2019 and is graciously loaned a Domenico Montagnana from 1740 by Mr. Jaeger.
