Viola Recital

About this video

Now playing in this video: 🎵 Brahms: "Viola Sonata No 2 in Eb major, Op 120"

Paul Zientara brings depth and warmth to Brahms' "Viola Sonata No. 2 in E-flat major, Op. 120", one of the composer's late, autumnal masterworks written originally for clarinet. Rich in lyrical introspection and quiet nobility, the sonata reveals the viola's dark, burnished voice at its most eloquent.
