The Classeek Ambassador Programme, a one-year career enrichment experience that nurtures and showcases the talents of young aspiring musicians, has received an outstanding response to its open application for the 2024-25 season.

With the submission period now closed, the applications are being reviewed by a jury composed of industry experts and Classeek's Ambassadors.

In addition to the Classeek team, this year's Open Application jury comprises Sonia Simmenauer, Aline Champion, Katia Skanavi, and Eric Tanguy. These individuals bring a wealth of experience, passion, and dedication to classical music, making them the ideal judges for this process.

Sonia Simmenauer, a luminary in artist management and a dedicated advocate for young musicians, has a long-standing association with Classeek as a friend and ambassador. Her expertise in navigating the world of classical music is invaluable in selecting the most promising applicants.

Aline Champion, a celebrated violinist, chamber, and orchestral musician, brings her exceptional virtuosity and deep understanding of the violin's expressive range to the jury's deliberations. Her insights will help evaluate the instrumental applicants' technical mastery and their ability to convey the nuances and emotions of the classical repertoire.

Katia Skanavi, an esteemed pianist, renowned for her captivating performances and unique and innovative style. Her artistic vision and critical eye will help assess the composer applicants' originality, technical prowess, and ability to connect with audiences.

Eric Tanguy, a passionate musicologist and conductor, brings his academic rigour and appreciation for historical performance practice to the jury's discussion. His understanding of the context and evolution of classical music will help us understand the applications' depth of musical knowledge and their ability to interpret classical works with sensitivity and nuance.

A Look Back at 2023-24

The Classeek Ambassador Programme has a proven track record of finding exceptional young artists, in line with Classeek’s mission. In 2023-24, our Open Application winners were Clarissa Bevilacqua, a violinist of exceptional artistry, and Elise Bertrand, a multi-talented composer recognised for her versatility and creativity.

Clarissa Bevilacqua has already performed a solo violin concert with Classeek, available on-demand on our website. Elise Bertrand's compositions will be performed by other Classeek artists in June, allowing audiences to experience her innovative and captivating style.
