Now playing in this video: 🎵 Eugène Ysaÿe: "Sonate à George Enescu" (From op. 27 "Six sonata for violin)
Dmitry Smirnov takes on Ysaÿe's Sonata à George Enescu, a virtuosic tour de force from the composer's landmark set of six solo violin sonatas. Rhapsodic and technically dazzling, the piece pays tribute to Enescu's own restless, folk-inflected musical voice.
